Communications Officer

34

Manchester

This is an exciting time for the organisation as we develop our new Corporate Strategy for 2022 to 2025.

We are looking for an experienced, creative Communications Officer to join our small, busy communications team in central Manchester. You will provide a flexible, responsive and proactive internal communication service to educate, inform and engage staff. While you will primarily work on supporting the delivery of internal communications, there may be times when you will provide external communications support.

You’ll be working across a range of internal communication channels, including face to face, email and the intranet, to deliver content that engages our internal audiences and promotes our house writing style. You will also support the delivery of a variety of projects and events, ensuring tasks are delivered on time and to a high standard.

One of our key internal communications projects for this year is the delivery of a new intranet for the organisation. You will have an important role in the success of this project, supporting the design, build and launch of the platform.

This is a varied and fast-paced role that would suit someone with a can-do attitude and first-rate communication skills.

We’re looking for someone with a track record of supporting the delivery of communications plans and campaigns in complex organisations, as well as experience in maintaining an intranet or website. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong focus on providing a high quality service and will be comfortable working to tight deadlines and juggling a heavy workload. In return, we offer flexible working and generous annual leave entitlements.

Able to influence others, above all, you’ll be a great team player and keen to get stuck in and work collaboratively with your colleagues throughout the organisation.
